Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd. (KFL) (a division of Komatsu, Ltd.) has been manufacturing forklifts since 1945 and selling forklifts in the United States since 1976.
In 1987, Komatsu opened their first U.S. forklift manufacturing facility in La Palma, California. Seven years later, Komatsu broke ground for a new manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters in Covington, Georgia. The first forklift drove off the assembly line on August 25, 1995.
Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc. (KFI) offers a wide range of electric, gasoline, LPG, and diesel forklifts from 3,000 lbs. to more than 35,000 lbs. Some models within the product range feature "EZ View" masts for greater operator visibility, exclusive hydraulic suspension cabs for operator comfort and standard full time hydrostatic steering.
